Job Description

Title: Salesperson ready to take on leadership
Salary Range: $150k ($75k base + $75k at plan, uncapped and with accelerators above plan; equity as well in amount TBD)

We are seeking a proven “star” salesperson with success selling 6 and 7-figure packages to enterprise customers. As the first lead sales person for this startup, the plan is that you’d “come in selling” and soon be managing the sales team.

Our customers and core team will have a strong altruistic element — the product contributes to “making the world better” and it’s important that you speak the language and can relate to them. And, for this role, we want to also have a strong focus on financial results — yours and the company’s, as well as the ROI for customers, of course.

We are a 500 Startups-backed company whose customers include the Obama White House and campaign organizations, Airbnb, the World Bank, Stanford University and others.

Your customers will consist of:

  • Brand owners of “cause marketing” campaigns
  • Owners of digital PPC advertising budgets who are seeking a better ROI
  • Community managers
  • Those who sponsor conferences with 6-figure budgets
  • As media partners: major media organizations, especially branded content

We are located in Oakland, California (with a private office within the Impact Hub) and strongly prefer someone who can work at our office. (We often take first meetings from home, then come in by late morning.)

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a demonstrated history of very strong performance at past companies
  • Based in Bay Area (but we’d consider the right remote candidate)
  • Excellent written and spoken English required
  • Exceptionally honest and authentic
  • Must desire a challenge to deliver results
  • Determined to make a difference in and have a positive impact on the community, country, world
  • Bonus points for experience selling SaaS solutions
  • Strong on the phone and experienced in smart, timely, effective follow-up
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and effectively manage time

We’re open to candidates coming out of a Junior role if you’re hungry and driven to excel. Senior level players too, must be hungry to succeed. Bonus points for startup experience.
